SEARCHING (Movie-2018)

Disclaimer: This is NOT a book/movie/music review. Thus, I have no intention to write on the story line, directors, singer, etc. What I hope to achieve is to share the message(s) that I perceived from the book/movie/music, so they might be your source of inspiration. So, sit down and relax, I will not disclose the ending (for book or movie), and you can still enjoy them!

This American movie was released early this year. Although it can be categorized as thriller, it is not the usual thriller movie that I watch. The story is about a father who is trying to find his missing teen-age daughter. While this movie contains many messages to be thought over, to me, the 2 main things are:

LEARN TO GRIEVE

Searching shows us the importance of giving us times to grieve, when we experience lost. It is not only benefit us, but also benefit people around us, our loved ones, our friends, and the list goes on and on.

CONNECTED….. AND CONNECTION

Nothing can beat the convenience of technology in bringing people closer to each other. Email and messengers can connect us with our loved ones, our friends, and our colleagues almost 24/7. But, have we asked ourselves,… in addition to be connected, have we made sincere, honest and personal connections in real life?
